Hi greencoast-ga, To answer your questions: 1. Yes, your website is indexed by Google 2. I checked that this was true by going to Google and entering the following search: site:www.gchydro.com hydroponic The following results were displayed: ://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=site%3Awww.gchydro.com+hydroponics&btnG=Google+Search&meta= The search above will narrow results to pages under the www.gchydro.com domain that contain the keywords provided. In this case I had visited your site and just chose "hydroponic" arbitrarily. 3. Ratings are not actually maintained for every keyword, and in fact the order of search results are determined by the PageRank algorithm. You can read more about this at: http://www.iprcom.com/papers/pagerank/ Hope that helps :) answerguru-ga | |

Ian Roger's article, referenced by Answerguru, explains that the Google Toolbar gives an approximation of PageRank. To calculate exact PateRank, scroll to Links, near the bottom of the article, and use Phil Craven's PageRank Calculator. I've noticed that the Calculator site/link is sometimes difficult to reach. Luckily, Google has a cached copy at: http://216.239.51.104/search?q=cache:WsTITxUEoxMJ:www.webworkshop.net/pagerank_calculator.php3+webworkshop.net ---larre |
