I, or another Researcher, might be interested in answering your
question. However, I am not sure how much information you are looking
for. There are lots of web pages on this topic. Retrieving more than
a single web page, or summarizing the entire history of our number
system, will require more time and effort than the average amount of
time and effort associated with this price.

Here is a link to guidelines about the pricing of questions:

If you raise your price and/or post a clarification here, the system
will notify me and I will take another look at your question.

I tried to search the net last night but the sites that it came up
with for some reason were not longer available. I was really only
after sites that I could look up myself and write my paper from that.
I hope this is the sort of clarification you were after. If not
please advise

Cheers

I just tried the sites I listed, and they all are still available.
Perhaps you were just having a temporary glitch with your Internet
connection.
