Can an insurance carrier take back the payment made to my physican
when it later learns the policy did not pay for the service billed
for. I was given an acupuncture treatment at my doctor's office in NY.
The doctor billed the carrier and was paid. Later the NYS licensing
board said the physican could not bill for the services provided by
the acupuncturist. The carrier now wants the physican to refund the
money.
