I recently acquired a Trust spacecam 200 from a friend, but
immediately lost the CD. He hasn't a back-up and isn;t aware of ever
having entered online any registration information. I tried Trust's
website but it requires registration info to release drivers. But
surely they must be available somewhere ? I bought the camera, so I
should be able to use it, no ?

The best location to download the Trust Spacecam 200 drivers is indeed
from Trust's website. The registration info that they request is only
to create an account on the customer support website. If you are
uncomfortable providing your information to Trust in order to set up
an account, please note that it is possible to delete your account
immediately following your download. The registration does not require
any proof of ownership for any Trust device. In fact, in researching
this Answer, I was able to set up an account for myself on their
customer support website, download a driver for the Trust Spacecam
200, then delete my account.

To obtain the latest driver, therefore, please go to
http://www.trust.com/customercare/ , and create an account using a
valid e-mail address (they accept Hotmail accounts).

Upon confirming your account using the link in the e-mail they will
send to the e-mail address you supplied (again, they accept Hotmail
accounts), search for item 12237 (this is the item number for the
Trust Spacecam 200).

When asked to register the product, all they really mean is to
"register" it, or link it, to your customer profile so that it is
easier to access the support for this camera in the future. Answer
their brief survey, and you will be directed to the download page for
the driver you are seeking.

After you have downloaded the driver you want, and confirmed that it
actually works for your operating system and camera, return to the
Trust Computer website ( http://www.trust.com ), select the
"Registration" link from the left-hand menu, and you will be presented
with a page where you can edit your registration. Note that there is a
link, in the text, to delete your account. You may choose to do this
if you do not want Trust Computers to have your account on file.
Remember, though, that in the future if you wish to download an
updated driver, you will need to go through this process again.

I hope that this Answer meets your needs! Please ask for clarification
if anything is unclear.
