where can I find examples or records of household bills that a typical
household would have received in the 60's or 70's? I am looking for
examples of OLD telephone bills (from BELL TELEPHONE), UTILITY BILLS,
any monthly bills you would receive in the mail. DEPT STORE bills,
etc. |

By examples, do you mean actual tree-product bills, images of such, or
evidence, as might be found in peripheral documents or records which
discuss or record budgets of the era?

I need an electronic version of the actual bill that was produced. So
the paper bill would have to be scanned and stored as a JPG file so
that I can see it. So, yes - an image of the actual bill is what I am
looking for. You can scan the bill, save it as a JPEG file, then
reopen it in a Microsoft Paint application. You can then use the
"eraser" to erase personal details of the bill, then resave it as a
JPEG.

Do your parents or grandparents save everything? Even old bills,
cancelled checks, etc? This is where you'll find these. I'm
especially looking for old TELEPHONE BILLS from Bell Telephone (NY, or
any major city).
