edwat-ga:

The type of program you are referring to is called a Home Exchange.
Some leading Internet-based home exchange services (that help broker
the exchange and let you find a suitable exchange partner) include:

Intervac International Home Exchange Network -
http://intervac-online.com

HomeExchange.com - http://www.homeexchange.com

Global Home Exchange - http://www.4homex.com

International Home Exchange Network - http://www.ihen.com

Home Base Holidays - http://www.homebase-hols.com

Seniors Home Exchange - http://www.seniorshomeexchange.com

With these services, you will be able to get a flavour for the options
available if you are interested in home exchange, and how to do it.

I hope this helps!

Ever fancied a vacation of a few weeks in Melbourne Australia.
Awarded title of Worlds most livaable city 2 years in a row to date
and with 4 milion people has just about everything. Awarded title
because of good climate safety aspects, relatively cheap costs for
food and power etc. A little away from the Great Barrier Reef
however as my City Melbourne the country's second biggest city (after
Sydney the Olympics city which is really huge), is at the absolute
bottom of the Australian mainland and the country itself is bigger
than all Europe being about same size as the USA. My aprtmnet is
smack in the middle of the city amongst the skyscrapers etc and is
adecent size also.
I too will look at the sites provided and see if the options appeal.
