Where can I locate a font for the Macintosh, System 9 and System 10, that will work in both Word 2001 and PageMaker 7, that has *ancient* Greek? It must be downloadable, but can cost money if necessary. |

Dear Siefrat, The Athenian font supports Ancient Greek, You could download it for free from the University of Berkeley servers <http://socrates.berkeley.edu/~pinax/greekkeys/Atheniandownload.html> . Please note the FAQs, that are supposed to answer your questions regarding compatability to Word 2001 and other problems: http://socrates.berkeley.edu/~pinax/greekkeys/GreekKeysFAQ.html To type using the font, you have to buy a $50 GreekKeys program. This is a FAQ for the Greek Keys software, which supports all operations in ancient greek: <http://socrates.berkeley.edu/~pinax/greekkeys/GreekKeys.html> they have other free downloads, and the whole system could be posted to you. Other Ancient Greek fonts could be found in this list: http://directory.google.com/Top/Science/Social_Sciences/Language_and_Linguistics/Natural_Languages/Indo-European/Hellenic/Classical_Greek/Fonts_and_Software/?il=1 |
