Hi dogsbollocks-ga, During WWII, the German armed forces were called the Wehrmacht. The army itself was called the Heer, while the air force was the Luftwaffe, and the navy was the Kriegsmarine. You can find these and related terms on several web pages, including: "Glossary of German Military Terms and Abbreviations", by Jason Pipes Feldgrau.com - research on the German armed forces 1918-1945 http://www.feldgrau.com/glossary.html - justaskscott-ga Search terms used on Google: "german army" wehrmacht german army wehrmacht heer luftwaffe kriegsmarine |
