I am being paged at all hours of the night and day with this number: 8006008753-4. This has been going on occasionally for about three years. I never return the page because I do not recognize the number. The pager is for my job. When I got paged at 1 a.m. Saturday night and again 6 a.m. Monday waking me from a sound sleep, I said, "That's it. I'm going to find out who it is". What can you tell me about this number? Who are they? Where are they located? And is there a charge for calling this 800 number? --Cynthia |

Why don't you call 'em from a payphone? It'll cost them a quarter in payphone fees, no risk to you. |

Clouseau correctly identified the company to whom the telephone number belongs, which is what the question asked for. I dialed the number personally and selected option 4. It connected me to a gentleman named Bob, who informed me that it is the data processing unit for Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo, if you're not familiar with them, is one of the first banks established in the US. The number is not an offshore number. Bob told me that if you're being paged and would like the pages to stop, you need to call them and tell them what your pager number is. It's entirely possible that someone transposed the digits and is intending to page someone other than you. --Missy |
