I was a bit hasty in expiring the colored hats question in my
embarrassment over the simplicity of the solution I'd overlooked.  I
owe a thankyou to lynnspry for providing the solution, and to eek for
pointing out that I'd misunderstood it.  Though I understood (finally)
the solution before your recent post, I hope you'll accept this
(meager) question fee as a token of appreciation for your comments,
which were, as always crisp and insightful.
