I am utilizing an attached piezoelectric crystal to measure the small vibration or high-frequency displacement of an 8-inch long, one inch on a side, square permanent magnet. What is the highest frequency that I can measure as an electrical output of the piezoelectric crystal? |

It depends on the electrical/mechanical/physical properties of the piezo crystal that you use, apart from the loading/sensitivity/thermal compensation of the sensor electronics. Regards ldavinci-ga |

Quartz piezoelectric crystals have been used to stablize radio transmitters at over 100,000,000 hertz = CPS, so I should think the upper limit as a transducer is in that range. As Idavin typed mechanical linkage limits the usable frequency. Neil |
