In which french song did this phrase appear: "il passait, il faisait
juste passer"? It is either Felix Leclerc, George Brassens, or a
similar french singer-songwriter. I would like the complete text of
the song.

Dear Elboncutlass,

The lyrics are from the song "Egg génération", by Robert Charlebois
(from his 1968 Album "Robert Charlebois/Louise Forestier").

You could find a version of the lyrics, based-on-hearing, at
Everything2: http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?node=egg%20generation
, which is also my source for this answer.

See the album:
Amazon.com <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000286C7/qid=1062084463/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_1/103-3166095-8801430?v=glance&s=music&n=507846>

The song also appears in various compilations of Charlebois.

Search terms:
["egg generation" lyrique ]
[juste passer passait faisait]
["faisait juste passer"]

I hope this answers your question. Please contact me if you need any
further clarifications on this answer before you tip/rate it.

Greetings Elboncutlass:

There is a reference to "À passait, à faisait juste passer!" at
http://www2.bnquebec.ca/estampes/f71t.htm (see works in 1979) by a
Denis Forcier but I could not locate lyrics to a song that included "À
passait, à faisait juste passer"

The image on http://www2.bnquebec.ca/est01/462435.jpg is titled "À
passait, à faisait juste passer!" and it may be a CD case or album
cover. The image was located originally at
http://www2.bnquebec.ca/estampes/f716.htm

Good luck with your quest for the lyrics.

Best regards,
journalist-ga
