Hi, Everyone

I have taken the unprecedented step of upping the price on ID 244316.

I suspect that this will now be more than enough to excite Missy, Jem,
Pinkfreud, Seizer, thx1138, Tehuti, Serene1, Omnivorous,
Politicalguru, Journalist ....

(Sorry that's all the names I can recall after two glasses of
champagne.)

So, here's this question:

Am I going to be:

a) Very Pleased with the answer to 244316?

b) Over the moon, etc?

c) Chuffed to little mintballs?

Regards

Bryan

Hi Bryan :)

Well, I just had to stop extracting the latest version of Mozilla
Firebird to answer this question. After all, redemption and
restoration to pedestal status is at stake! (see my comment at
Question ID: 244975 15 Aug 2003 09:28 PDT).

Two glasses of champagne, eh? And beer at Gray's Inn earlier today?
At the rate you're going Bryan, I think you'll be chuffed to bits no
matter what!!

Well, I've had a look at who's currently working on your Question ID:
244316 and it is none other than Pinkfreud. Now, I think Pinkfreud is
BRILLIANT so what follows is, of course, my own subjective bias, but,
should she answer the question, I think you will be:

a) Very Pleased with the answer to 244316

b) Over the moon, etc

c) Chuffed to little mintballs

AND

d) Chuffed to rather large mintballs served on a silver platter with
platinum ice tongs for selective distribution.

Now Bryan, I appreciate that this probably isn't the wittiest answer
you've been given (after all, Pinkfreud is rather busy on another
question at the moment) however, I'm sure you'll understand that as
I'm now on my second gin and tonic, it is becoming rather difficult to
focus.

p.s. and your champagne trivia for today:

"You are more likely to be killed by a champagne cork than by a
poisonous spider. (Moral: Always be willing to pay extra for good
champagne. Cheap champagne is not worth the risk.)"

http://www.aarons-jokes.com/joke-289.shtml

"A raisin dropped in a glass of fresh champagne will bounce up and
down continually from the bottom of the glass to the top."

http://www.funnyfact.com/html/Champagne-and-Raisins.html

"1693 - It is believed that a monk named Dom Perignon invented
champagne at the Benedictine Abbey of Hautvillers in the region of
Champagne, northern France. He made the first champagne by
re-fermenting a certain wine in the spring and then placing it in
strong, sealed bottles so that the wine would become sparkling. Dom
Perignon was the Cellar master for 47 years until his death in 1715."

Hi Bryan

That last link reference re: 1693 trivia should be:

http://216.239.51.104/search?q=cache:DUzs4DtM1cYJ:www.wordquiz.com/trivia/history/+champagne+jokes

The original link was a third gin & tonic, I mean, a mis-referenced
cache ;)

Hi, Jem

You have been restored to the pedestal ....

TEMPORARILY

Now, about answering 244136?

Or have I upped the ante in vain?

Bryan

I am sorry to report that I was unable to provide an answer to the
question in question.

The chuffage of your mintballs remains a possibility, but for the
nonce, they shall likely remain unchuffed. :-(

I suspect that permanent restoration to the pedestal will come via a
different question ;)

In anticipation
