I have an Apple iPod mp3 player (15gb one, firewire doc, model M8946LL/A, take a look at http://www.apple.com/ipod/specs.html) I am buying a new 2004 Toyota Yaris car (Yaris T Spirit Hatchback 5 Door 1.3 VVT-i Petrol Automatic, take a look at www.toyota.co.uk for specs) I want to connect my iPod to the radio-disk (CD player) that comes standard with the car. I don't want to use an FM transmitter (such as Belkin TuneCast FM Transmitter for iPod - http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore?productLearnMore=T6283LL/A ) because of the quality loss. I want to see if I can somehow take a normal AUX cable (like the headphone cable) and connect it to the line-out (or even headphone) connector of the iPod. This would probably require a qualified Toyota electrician to connect the cable to the interior of the stereo system. I live in Haifa, Israel (if this helps). | |
