Hello Linja ~ 1948, a leap year, had two months with a Friday the 13th - February and August. The 13th of April in 1948 was on a Tuesday, and the 13th of May was on a Thursday. Infoplease.com has a perpetual calendar in which you can check the day of the week 1583 forward. You can find the calendar, complete with historical events for the year 1948 in several fields here: - http://www.infoplease.com/calendar.php?year=1948&month=1 Some other 1948 calendars online can be found: - http://www.flicklives.com/Timeline/1948_cal.html and - http://www.hf.rim.or.jp/~kaji/cal/cal.cgi?1948 Search Terminology ================== - perpetual calendar - 1948 calendar Thankyou for asking this question - the Infoplease website had some historical facts that I'd forgotten since my days at University. Maybe this time they'll stick. Best regards, Serenata |
