Hello febreze-ga,

There is a modest amount of information available on the US market for
mining chemicals (which includes mineral extraction, which I'm
assuming is what you mean by the "minerals segment").

Most of the information on this topic is only available by purchasing
very expensive market analysis reports that typically cost hundreds
(even thousands) of dollars. I can certainly steer you to these
reports, if you are interested. Beyond that, I can provide you with
some market size information, and a general discussion of drivers and
trends, but it cannot be highly detailed, as most of the information
is proprietary.

There is much less information available on global market size, so I
can only offer to focus on the US market.

Let me know if this would be acceptable as an answer to your question.

Sorry about the delayed response. I usually recieve an email
requesting clarification; but since i did not recieve one, i did not
check my account. i knew my questions was rather broad, and was
looking for some high level numbers. I ended up fining some good
information about mining chemicals on my own. Thank you for your
effort.

A reasonable interpertation of your question includes all the coal and
petroleum production of Earth, so each likely exceeds a trillion
dollars USA annually. Excluding the amounts used for energy, will get
quite complicated, as will separating transportation and processing,
distributing and retail costs. Iorn ore is obviously a mineral, as are
other metal ores; did you hope to not include prosessing,
transportation and/or fabricating of the finshed metal stock? Perhaps
3/4 of the world's salt = sodium chloride is minned. Do you wish to
exclude the portion used as a food additive and condamement and the
portion obtained by evaporating ocean water? Neil
