Have Windows XP-Home all updates.Loaded Norton SystemsWorks 2003 from
CD. noticed immediately system becoming unstable. Did not intend to
load Virus Protection but CD loaded anyway. System becoming more
unstable so uninstalled. TOO Late? Symantec's FAST & Safe Cleanup took
over. No warnings of any kind. Uninstalled... Apparently FAST & Safe
is not so Safe. WIPED OUT ALL INTERNET COOKIES AND TEMP FILES AND
CANNOT RECOVER IN SYSTEM RESTORE as all these files are gone?????
Unable to access ISP from my primary window but can from wifes address
but still no cookies for temp files. Unable to reach Web Sites. SYSTEM
RESTORE WINDOW IS BLANK. Any Suggestions????Error Code 0X80070005
Guard-IE is not properly installed.(Earthlink PopUp Blocker?)Connect to Isp sites.
Connection Error Code UPR F0202 Auth. Attempt Failed.

I suggest you to run the regedit and search for Symantec keys in the
registry and delete each one manually. After this you can reinstall
Windows XP just over your current windows, you will not lose more data
and your system will become functional again.
It happened to me before and I solved it by this way..., twice...after
the second event I decide to not use symantec products in my PC
anymore.
Hope this helps.

If you want another kind of answer, please let us know that.

Regards.
