I want to reset my AIM password, but the email address I provided is no longer valid. According to AOL, there's no way to retrieve my password now. I'm wondering if there's any other way to get it? I have some really important contact info in there that'll take forever to retrieve if i have to start from scratch. (friends, coworker list ~ 300 people) Therefore please don't tell me just to get another account etc. A handsome tip will be given for those who can solve my problem. | |

Try connecting to AIM with Trillian (from download.com). There's a bug in AOL's servers that sometimes allows (forces) you to authenticate with an old password (the one you chose 6 years ago). |

"AIM Retriever" is a program that will supposedly retrieve the password if it is stored on your computer. You can download AIM Retriever here: http://www.angelfire.com/va3/wat/downloads3.html I cannot vouch for this, as I am not an AIM user, but it may be worth a try. |
