Hi richardmmacias,
I have located with the aid of a map all restaurants on Vermont Ave.
However the restaurant with the name you provided is not amongst them.
It is possible the name has been changed recently. Therefore, in order
to establish exactly where the restaurant you are looking for is, do
you know what are the names of the two restaurants either side of the
restaurant which you are seeking? Any information you can provide will
help. Thanks.
Regards,
rainbow~

Park da Gum is a new restaurant; so its name has not recently changed
to another name. It is possible that the space operated until
recently as a restaurant under another name, but I do not know one way
or the other.
Unfortunately, I am not in a position to give you the names of the two
restaurants on either side of Park da Gum. The only information I
have is that it is on Vermont Avenue, a block or so north of Olympic
Boulevard, in the Koreatown area of Los Angeles.
I did confirm that "Park da Gum" is the correct name of the
restaurant, but calling directory assistance did not get me a phone
number, much less an address.

Hi richardmmacias,
After searching through a number of directories for this restaurant, I
have had no luck in finding it for you. Hopefully another researcher
with local access to the area will have more success.
Best of luck,

<< Are you sure you have the name of the restaurant correctly spelled.
There is no business registered in the name of Park Da Gum with either
the California Secretary of State or LA County Clerk (fictitious
business name registration)>>
Today, I checked with the person who recommended the restaurant to me.
She confirmed that the restaurant is new and that its name is "Park
da Gum." She is very reliable, but, as you know, none of us is
perfect, and, conceivably, she may be mistaken.
Many restaurant just open up for business, without worrying about the
governmental legalities.
Maybe I should just drive by the location provided by my friend and
see whether it actually is there. (It was/is worth $17 to me to avoid
that extra trip.) I want to meet some folks for dinner there on
August 27, but I need to give them a precise address.

<< These are probably the two restaurants closest to it. They are both
about one block just North of Olympic just south of San Marino (which
is 1 block north of Olympic). Hope you speak Korean, if you call.
=)>>
Thanks all for your assistance. But let me say, this was not supposed
to be a trick question: I thought I had the correct name of the
restaurant and the accurate location, and that someone would quickly
track it down, and I would be a happy camper.
It is still conceivable, albeit unlikely, that the restaurant is so
new that it is not yet on very many radar screens; so I am going to
drive by the location to see whether I can find it. If I cannot, then
I will suggest that my friends meet me at one of the other restaurants
you all have mentioned.
Before this experience, I did not even know this Google service
existed. I will use it again.

Hi Richard,
I just called information in Los Angeles.
They turned me over to a special operator.
He went through everything in the Los Angeles phone
database with Park. Nothing.
He did say that if they opened within the last two weeks,
we might not find the listing yet.
Sorry
