Hi Mustang!

Getting the video driver was the easy part. The missing .DLL is
another story, however.

You can download the .VXD file for your S3 Trio 64V PCI video card
here:

[FCCID=S3 Trio 64v+pci(765)]
http://www.video-drivers.com/drivers/78/78816.htm

According to postings in a Yahoo Group devoted to Win98 help and
issues, to retrieve your missing .DLL, you'll need your Win98 CD.
(Postings in microsoft.public.nl.windows and
microsoft.public.win95.setup indicate that these are also Win95 files.
In either OS, the retrieval process is the same.)

When your system asks you for the missing file, be certain your
Windows disk is in the drive. Browse to the drive containing your
disk (usually D:\ ), and then to the Win98 (or Win95) folder:

"To solve your problem when you get this request next time select
browse and
manually point to the directory Win98 on your CD and hopefully (cross
your
fingers here) wondows will detect the appropriate file from here. If
you
didn't get a Windows CD with your machine (quite common with Laptops
and big
name machines) try pointing to a directory called "Options" thich is
in the
windows directory on your C drive."

Alternatively, you can try to extract the .DLL from you CD using a CAB
View utility. Follow the download and installation instructions, and
inspect the .CAB files (cabinet files, much like .ZIP files, which
contain all .DLLs, .VXDs and .DRVs):

Microsoft CAB Viewer

I scoured my own system to see if I could find this file for you, and
checked my WinME disk as well, with no luck. The file is either not a
part of Windows after 98SE, or has a different name. It was not
available for download at any of the well known .DLL download sites
(windll.com, dll-files.com), nor was it found in Microsoft's .DLL
Database:

Microsoft .DLL Database

Good luck!
