I aquired a Panasonic KX-FM220 Multi-Function fax machine 05/98. I
purchased the OCR Plus software Version 2.4 offered as an upgrade. The
Software
company (Alacrity Systems Inc) went out of business. The software is
timelocked. I had to reload my the software and the unlock code that I
paid for does not work with the new registration number created with
the reload. The new registration number is 8079328976765921. Can
anybody help with this unlock code. Pansonic's help fax is useless.

Unfortunately the company went out of business and there is not much
that you can do. The only way I think you can get is do a WHOIS
inquiry on their old website and you might find something, and use
that info to track down someone from the company. To do that go to
http://www.godaddy.com and go to the bottom of the page where they
take the links and click on Whois and enter the info there.
Another way would be possibly finding a crack or a hack for the
software. It seems that you are basically screwed unless you can find
some kind of a hack like on Kazaa or on the internet.

This link list the Alacrity Systems phone and fax. The Fax number and
phone are reversed. The telephone #(908-213-2490) didn't get an
answer, but it was late Sat night when I called. The
fax#(908-813-2400)did get a fax tone. You might want to try it
Monday.
