Hi, I use OE and have Norton Anti-Virus scanning all my incoming mail. Usually, I get 5-6 virus-infected mails a day, which Norton deletes. However, I have started getting hundreds today for some reason. I get 5 or new ones every every minute. My inbox is cluttered with the, and they all have the same text in the body "Please see attached file for details" or "See attached file for details". It's becoming extremely difficult for me, not because of a virus infection, but because my server keeps getting full and it's a hassle dealing with this junk. I tried to put up a message rule in Outlook Express saying "If message body contains 'Please see attached file for details' then delete from server". However, this does not seem to work and they still get downloaded. Why is that???? |

I though NAV has a setting that toggles quarantine/delete but I'm not sure. Server-side antivirus would help you I think. What's your ISP? And do you use POP? IMAP? |

Norton silently deletes the virus, but the e-mail still shows up in the Inbox. My ISP is Rogers (rogers.com). I called them up but the techie didn't seem to know anything. I use POP. Any help would be appreciated and I'll leave a generous tip for the person who solves my problem ASAP. |
