Here's an article from the Dutch Consulate that explains how to get a copy of the birth records and who's allowed to do so. http://www.ncla.org/article.asp?articleref=AR00000131EN Too bad I'm not an official answer-type person and therefore can't collect for the answer. :) -B |

The Dutch Embassies and Consulates abroad do not intermediate to get certificates from the registry in the Netherlands ... Citizens living abroad can mail in their request to the institutions listed below http://www.netherlands-embassy.org/article.asp?articleref=AR00000131EN City Hall of the municipality concerned. Find the municipality concerned via: http://www.overheid.nl/ For Heerjansden I think this would be Zuid-Holland, and for Dutch speakers the website at http://overheidsloket.overheid.nl/home.php?tab=?st_id=80&sub=thema&th_id=30&st_id=80 should be relevant.
