Hello,
I am looking for a list of letter combinations that people often
mistype/misspell - for example "spaek" instead of "speak". I am
looking for mistakes that result from combinations which are very
common as well as mistakes that result from the QWERTY keyboard (can't
think of a good example right now).
Obviously these list should not contain thousands of items - I'm not
looking for anything huge, just for the most common mistakes. Then
again, a mere 10 combinations are definitely not enough.
Thanks,

Am I on the right track with these lists? If so, I'll be glad to hunt
down a few more.

pinkfreud-ga,
Thank you, but I'm afraid that's not exactly what I'm looking for. I
already have a list of commonly misspelt words (over 1,500), what I
want now is a list of letter combinations that are often typed
incorrectly - for example, "caesar" and "caesar", i.e "ae" and "ea".
Thanks,
Chen

Most wordprocessing programs these days have a built-in "Quick
Correct" function which automatically corrects common mistakes. The
list includes both spelling mistakes as well as common.
For instance, my list of about 150 words will recognize "adn" and
correct it to "and".
Would a list of this sort be the right thing for you? It would be a
relatively easy matter for you to then go through the list and pull
out the typos that are of interest to you.

Hi pafalafa-ga,
The list you are describing sounds good, but I'm scared that 150
entries wouldn't be enough, since some combinations are bound to be
repeated.
Thanks,
Chen
