I want information about Arthur A. Staigh, a scenery
painter(artist)any studio, for movies of the 1930's and 40's?

i just ran accross this inquirey by accident. Although I realize that
this question has rencently expired I hope that the person that asked
it will check back and respond to me.
The Arthur A. Staigh in question is my grandfather.  I cannot imagine
why anyone would be asking about him after 60 plus years.
I would like to know what kind of information you are seeking and the
purpose?
As this site prohibits ( I think) my giving my personal information
out for direct contact I will check back here on a daily basis in
hopes that someone posts a comment back to me.

I was informed by Google that the asker of this question was notified
that there was a responce. So far I have not heard back and check on a
daily basis.  While looking over some of the asked questions in this
catagory I find that alot seem to expire without ever being answered
or commented on. Is there anyone out there reading this?   I would
like to know why anyone would be looking for my grandfather, who is
the Arthur Staigh in question as he did work with the studios in 1930
and 40's and as ANY Staigh in the united states is related to me
directly or by marriage. Actually there are only two of us if you dont
count X spouces.  Hopefully someone is reading this still.

Hello:  Imagine my surprise when I found a relative of Mr. Staigh!  I
have two paintings done by your grandfather.  Have no idea what year
they were painted. Both are oils and are of sailing ships.  Both are
signed by him and on the back of one is an LA address, which is sadly
not totally legible. My knowledge of your grandfather is minimal, and
that is why I was hoping to find out more about him.  Thanks for your
