I am looking for detailed plot information about the novel The Hobbit
by J. R. R. Tolkien. This may go beyond the detail that some book
notes provide, but you may be able to find book notes that contain
this information.
The first item I'm looking for is detailed examples of things that
stay constant throughout the novel. This can be anything (a
character, significant object, etc.).
The second item is a detailed example of something unexpected. This
would probably be an event, but if there is something else that is
significant, it could work as well.
The third item is an example of something relating to a legend.

Multiple examples for each item is better than one, but one for each
is great.

I know these sound vague, but anything that fits the description is a
valid answer.

The more detail contained on the linked pages, the better.

Thanks in advance!

Topgun98,

Are you looking for a detailed plot summary or just the plot detail
you've specifically listed?

Do you require links to pages which discuss each of your points, or
would you accept an essay by a researcher familiar with the book who
could provide examples of the items you desire?

I only need the plot detail I've specified.
I'd prefer links to pages which discuss each of the points, but an
essay by a researcher familiar with the book who could provide
examples of the items would most certainly be acceptable. I would be
very satisfied with both.

In my last sentence, "I would be very satisfied with both." I meant "I would be
very satisfied with either one."
I'd be very happy with either one.
