on a weekly music programme aired on bbc in 1980's i heard tom jones
singing "purple rain" accompanied by dave gilmour on guitar, where can
i obtain a recording(video) of this performance

Hi Skyteman,
I believe the song was aired on the Tom Jones BBC series The Right
Time in June 1992.
The best i can do is get you an mp3 of the song. It is missing the
first minute or so, but the overall quality is great, and all of Dave
Gilmour's solo is there - it's about 4MB in size. If this is of
interest to you, please let me know.
