Hi and thanks for the question.

I believe that the article you are requesting is part of a larger
article entitled: "L-Carnitine, a 'Vitamin-like Substance' for
functional food." This article is from the Annals of Nutrition and
Metabolism (2000) vol.44 pages 75-96. (Since the article you request
is on pages 94-95 of the same volume, I assume it is a subsection of
the larger article.) It is written by Walter P, Schaffhauser AO.

The reference for this article can be located at:
PubMed
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?CMD=Display&DB=PubMed

You can read the full-text of the article at:

Karger
http://content.karger.com/produktedb/produkte.asp?typ=fulltext&file=anm44075

Because this article is copyrighted you must pay to access the pdf
file containing the article.

Search method:

PubMed
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?db=PubMed

search terms:

L-carnitine Schaffhauser

If you are unsatisfied with any portion of this answer please request
clarification prior to submitting a rating.

Best of luck!

The reference link for the article on PubMed should be:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=10970996&dopt=Abstract

The one I gave you in the original answer only takes you to the main
PubMed search page.

Sorry for any confusion,

Thanks blinkwilliams-ga for your help. I was hoping to be able to read
the full text without having to pay for the right to read it, but now
I know why I could not find it. Sincerely, personaltrainer1-ga
