I am trying to find someone who graduated in photography at one of
Jerusalem's photography colleges (it may have been Bezalel college of
art but I don't think so) in 1987. I only know his first name, Ilan,
but he lived in a district called Rehavia during 1986 and 1987 and
presumably he would have been registered thus in his address given to
the art college. Is there a list of graduates that can be referred
to? Do they also have photos of graduates from this far back?

I have found some information that might help you. Please let me know:
- Would you be able to recognise his works/style?
- Do you know what kind of photography he practiced (art, fashion,
news, etc.)?
- Could you please provide as many biographic details that you might
have left out as possible, that might assist in the search?

Ilan was about 24/25 year of age at the time. I do remember his work
and would recognise some of it, it was both fashion, realism and
political statement. Rather a mixture I am afraid. I actually have
one photograph of his, it is of a horse with its neck arched looking
backwards at two religious boys in a Jerusalem street. The horse is
itself underneath a stone archway. He did a lot of black and white
photography. He was into hang gliding and owned a hang glider which
he used to take out every weekend. He also had a motorbike I think
and definitely a classic, old fashioned car with leather seats. His
father was wealthy and owned a vineyard somewhere near Tel Aviv (can't
remember precisely where but I believe there is only one part of
Israel which is real vineyard territory. I think his mother was dead.
He was slim, good looking (I have 2 photos of him as well) and dark
haired, sort of rough shaven.

The photography might have been a night course. Please do ask me more
questions if you need to, it might jog my memory!
