I am trying to use a VPN server for all IP traffic. I'm using the
microsoft windows 2000 VPN settings and the microsoft windows XP VPN
services. I've found that some connections are not going through the
VPN server -- specifically, the ones that are on the client's local
LAN. I want all IP traffic to go over the VPN server. At least the
web traffic anyway. How can I specify that all traffic should use VPN
when the VPN Network is connected.

1) change the primary gateway setting on the client, so that it's a
gateway in the LAN
2) remove DNS server info from the client
3) change IE-Tools-Options-Connections-LAN Settings, so that it
proxies inside the LAN
