Question ID: 248145
I am suddenly unable to use RoadRunner Medic -- although I've been
using it for a long time. I now get an error message: "Event Sink
Fatal Error: Unable to connect to the CCD process." I uninstalled and
reinstalled. I still get the same message and I am unable to launch
the program. RoadRunner technical support is mystified. They have
never seen that error message.

Did you recently installed a program prior to the problem? If so, try
to uninstall the program and then uninstall, reinstall, and run
RoadRunner Medic.

Yes, I did. There is a great utility written by Neil Rubenking called
InCtrl5 which tracks all the changes an install program makes so you
can back out of any that cause problems. It turns out that the new
program overwrote certain system files and replaced them with older
files. Not only did I lose Medic (and I get that error message every
time I reboot), I am no longer able to access links from emails and
some internet sites. The question now is: how do I get the system
files back? I don't think uninstalling and reinstalling the new
program would help, do you? The system files are gone. I don't know
what to do now.
By the way, if you are interested in InCtrl15, here is where you can

here is where you can read about it:
