Yes, I did. There is a great utility written by Neil Rubenking called
InCtrl5 which tracks all the changes an install program makes so you
can back out of any that cause problems. It turns out that the new
program overwrote certain system files and replaced them with older
files. Not only did I lose Medic (and I get that error message every
time I reboot), I am no longer able to access links from emails and
some internet sites. The question now is: how do I get the system
files back? I don't think uninstalling and reinstalling the new
program would help, do you? The system files are gone. I don't know
what to do now.
