I am curious about the current economy in Iraq. For example,

How do the "common people" of Iraq currently make a living? Do many
continue their old jobs? Has the destruction of the government made
the jobs of many people disappear? If so, what do those people do now?
Is there import/export as usual at the borders, or has things changed
drastically after the war? Can people buy stuff as usual at stores?

Hi! I was able to find some news reports telling stories of the
current economic activities in Iraq but not in the detailed manner as
projected in your question. They are more of anecdotes on how some
Iraqis are making a living right now. Will this be enough as a
legitimate answer?

I understand that it might be difficult to find serious studies of the
current economy in Iraq at this time, so I guess if nothing else can
be found, a reasonable collection of news articles would do. It would
be nice however if they had a bit more info on the economy than just
anecdotes on how some Iraqis are making a living right now.

Talking about anectodal, I would be very happy to find out about some
decent blogs that give anectodal info about the economy, for example I
enjoyed reading from

http://riverbendblog.blogspot.com/

or the more famous

http://dear_raed.blogspot.com

I have also found the site

http://www.iraq-today.com/

though I haven't searched it for any relevant articles. News articles
from such Middle Eastern sources would also be nice.
