Hi Willowdale,

We've heard it all...masturbation will make your hair fall out, make
hair grow on your palms, or even make you go blind. Myths, right?

Maybe not all of them. It seems too much of a good thing might
actually make your hair fall out - or so say some experts:

Hair Loss Due To Over Masturbation– How to Avoid it
http://www.herbolove.com/article.asp?art=62

Baldness, Male Hair Loss and Masturbation
http://www.4-men.org/malehairloss.html

Case Study - Over-masturbation, hair loss, sexual exhaustion,
psychological disorder, and Fibromyalgia syndromes for no sexual
orgasm
http://www.actionlove.com/cases/case10155.htm

Men's Health Magazine, UK, offers a different opinion:

"Q: Will masturbation make my hair fall out?
JR, via email

A: No, not unless you're pulling the wrong thing.
Masturbation causes no problems whatsoever. Anything you hear to the
contrary is an old wives tale."

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the answer but what i was looking for was information based
on scientific research and survey from a recognized medical
organization.
The links you provided don't seem to be based on real hard data and I
had already gone through them before posting this question.
I would appreciate it if you could try and find something that would
elaborate on the issue and use scentific reasoning.

Hello willowdale,

In the future, it would be helpful if you would let the Researchers
know what data you had already found on your own, so we don't
duplicate your research. Also, if you'd like to confine your results
solely to peer reviewed scientific studies, please state that in the
question at the time of posting.

It's much easier (and more efficient) to help you if you spell out
exactly what you want.

Searching the databases at PubMed
( http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi ) and The NLM Gateway
( http://gateway.nlm.nih.gov/gw/Cmd ), as well as a literature search
run on my behalf by a friend at the University of Michigan Medical
Center reveal no studies discussing masturbation and hair loss.

Just a quick comment...Missy's done a fine job of providing the right
answer and the right resources for you to confirm her answer, but
please be aware that there is a HUGE amount of incorrect and
deliberately misleading information out there on this topic. If you
have hair loss concerns, ask your doctor to refer you to a
dermatoligist.

All the websites you mention as proof are complete scams..and by the
way...owned by the same parent company. The sites
Herbolove,4-men.org, etc are simply advertising gimmicks and are
completely and 100% fake with no medical testing or proof to their
claims. They are trying to sell a product to the easily mislead and
misinformed. They are simply spreading false information to sell
their product...a bunch of worthless pills. It's like any other scam
out there such as weightloss pills that will miraculously make you
lose weight or height pills that will somehow make you grow taller.
If you have a medical problem, see a doctor or read up on it from a
legitimate web-site.

Always be skeptical when a website tries to tell you that some widely
suffered problem...such as backpain or hairloss...can only be relieved
by BUYING their product. Like PT Barnum once said..."there's a sucker
born every minute". That's what these websites prey on.

On doing research of my own, I've found absolutely NO scientific
studies, evidence or peer reviewed research of any kind that backs up
any claim that masturbation can ever cause hair loss or any other of
the many "disorders" the websites you mentioned claim. The only thing
too much masturbation could possibly do is give you a sore
penis...that's it. I'm surprised Missy would mislead people into
believing these scam websites...but maybe they are paid sponsors of
Google so that could explain it. Tsk Tsk...you should know better.
