Miguel Campaneria has been an artistic advisor with the Municipal
Ballet de San Juan, Puerto Rico.
“Miguel Campaneria was born in Cuba and trained at the National Ballet
School of Cuba under the guidance of Alicia Alonso, Fernando Alonso
and Azari Plisetski. He joined the National Ballet of Cuba and was
promoted to soloist at the age of 18. He won the bronze medal in the
junior category at the prestigious International Ballet Competition at
Varna, Bulgaria. He has also partnered Alicia Alonso in MARGUERITE AND
ARMAND and many other ballets.”
"Upon leaving Cuba, Mr. Campaneria continued his ballet studies with
such notable teachers as David Howard, Patricia Wilde, Gabriella
Tab-Darvash, and Melissa Hayden. He has performed with Les Grands
Ballets Canadiens, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and been an artistic
advisor with the Municipal Ballet de San Juan, Puerto Rico.”
