I am looking for a PC software that is able to do the following
things: allow you to enter medical-related notes (in paticular
nutrition notes, but not only), store those notes in an organized
manner, and be compatible with a network, meaning multiple people need
to have access to the information (20-50 people), and it allows notes
to be e-mailed to and from. A definite plus would be to be able to
customize certain forms or notes within the software, or to be able to
add a Word based form into the software, but it's not absolutely
necessary. No price limit on the sofware. This software is not
intended for hospital use, but rather a smaller facility such as a
home health agency. Thank you for your help.

Howdy pempek,

Would you check out Amazing Charts and see if that is the direction
and/or type of software that interests you?

Hello denco-ga,

thank you for the link to amazing charts. I tried their demo and it
looks easy to use. I liked that it can be used on a network and one
can e-mail notes and other info. I would still like to know if there
is something like amazing charts out there that allows for charting
for other disciplines as well, not just doctors. I'm thinking of
dietitian notes (nutritional assessments) and maybe pharmacy notes as
well. As I was tooling with amazing charts, I envisioned another tab
for the "encounter" option that read "nutritional assessment" and had
the same general look as the doctor's SOAP note but with a few
different promptings, such as "estimated calorie needs" instead of
"physical examination" for example. And I am not looking for software
that helps you to DO nutritional assessments -- I'm familiar with all
of them out there and they're not what I need because they lack the
note-taking capability. I hope this clarifies things a bit. Thanks.
