A domain registrar in Washington did me the so-called "service" of
attaching to my domain registration a 30-day free trial of their web
hosting service.

But the free-trial automatically converted into a monthly fee because
I never "opted out" of the trial.

I never requested web hosting to be offered with my domain registration.

I'm certain there are laws regarding this type of marketing practice.
When (if?) I speak with their customer service, I'd like to have the
bargaining power of, "By the way. Did you know you're breaking the
law?".

Please find a few URLs that might educate me more on my rights and
options regarding this annoying marketing scheme.

Based on what you find, it's likely that I'll post a follow-up
question requesting analysis of the content you find.
