Question ID: 248847
How do I make my window's title bar, on my G4 Mac OS 9.2, active as a
double clicking windowshade opening/closing mechanism? I can use the
little windowshade box, but there is some method to make the whole
title bar active.

If you go to the Apple Finder > Control panels, do you see
"WndowShade" in the list? It should be somewhere after TCP/IP etc. If
not, go to Macintosh HD > System Folder > Control Panels (Disabled).
Do you see the "WindowShade" control panel in the folder?

Go to the "Appearance" control panel and click the "Options" tab.
There are two check blocks there: one for "Smart Scrolling" and one
for "Double-click title bar to collapse windows".

misanthropic has the correct answer and everything is fine, sorry Jack
but your way did not work at all.
Thanks to both of you. I can't believe I couldn't figure out such an
obvious solution.
Steve
