how to disable a on board graphics card on a sis 5578/5579 motherboard

Sis 5578 is the name of the chipset on the motherboard, not the
motherboard itself. Can you find out the model of your motherboard? I
read somewhere that PC Chips boards are the most common that carry
that chipset. Is your board that brand?

Techtor is correct in that sis 5578 is the name of the chipset on the
mother board.  The on board video cand be shut off one of two ways.

     1. Disable the jumper for on board video.
     2. If your mother board is jumperless then disable the on board
video in the bios.

If you can tell me what the model number and brand of your motherboard
then I can tell you exactly how to disable the onboard video.
