Hello tnargak-ga,

Strictly speaking, you cannot simply mail to a list of email addresses
as it would be constituted as Spam (unsolicited email). - The ISP from
which you sent the emails might decided to terminate your service with
them if they receive Spam complaints.

Furthermore, many people frown upon Spam, as I am sure you would do if
you received it. Therefore, the people to whom you are emailing
(spamming) might choose to ignore your advert out of spite not because
they do not like what you are advertising!

So, your best course of action would be to obtain a permission based
opt-in list. - This means the users have actually requested to receive
emails, and as such it is not Spam.

You usually get the following fields with permission based opt-in
lists: First Name, Last Name, Physical Address, Email Address, IP
Address, Source (website where they signed up), and Time & Date Stamps
(indicating when they signed up). Other fields may be included such as
DOB and Gender. With this information you can personalise the message,
writing “Hello John Smith” instead of an impersonal “Dear Sir”. Also,
with the IP address, Source, and Date & Time Stamp you can prove that
the message is not Spam, but that the person requested to be emailed.

If you wish, I can try to source you a list of Australian residents.
(Their email address will not necessarily end in .au, but the
registered address will be Australia.) I have many contacts that can
help me.

Also, have you thought about how you are going to email these people?
- You cannot really email them through an ordinary email client such
as Outlook(r). Instead you would need a professional program that is
able to customise the message for each person automatically - "Hello
xyz". - Once again, through my contacts, I can arrange for the list
you purchase to be mailed to.

If you would like me to help, I am more than happy to get you quotes
for the list and for rental of a mailing server (this is not as costly
as it sounds).

May I please ask what your intended budget was?

I hope you found my answer helpful. - If it is a little confusing and
needs clarification, I am more than happy to help. - If you already
know about permission based mailing, etc. I apologise to you for
explaining it all.

With Best Regards,

DBUK-ga
