Hello rperks-ga,

Thank you for your question. Here is an excellent example of where
information has been brought together on the web and is easily
accessed.

The web site, called "The Political Graveyard" has all, or close to
all, of the information you requested:

http://politicalgraveyard.com/parties/R/index.html#2989

This link lists the names of all of the Republican Party executive
offices (Chairman, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Secretary) since 1856, and
each name is linked to the person's position, years in the respective
Republican Party positions, State where he or she is from as well as
further biographical information regarding the officer.

The web site of the Republican Party itself is at: http://www.rnc.org

The search criteria used were: Republican, Party, Chairmen, National,
Offices.

Please inform me using the request clarification feature if, for some
reason, this is not exactly the information you are requesting, and I
shall be pleased to help you further if possible.

Thanks....this included some of the information we are seeking. I need
a list that includes all G.O.P. chairs and vice chairs. The
1993-present chairs and co-chairs names are missing, as are the deputy
chairs from the mid-1950s. I need a comprehensive list.

Thanks,

RPerks

Hello rperks-ga,

Yes. I see that the referenced web site lacks some of the information
you requested. I am in the process of gathering the remaining details
from other sources. The Republican National Committee itself does not
seem to have this information, but some of it can be gleaned from
archived sites and from publications. Thank you for your patience.

That's great...will look forward to your reply. I don't think there
are too many missing.

Hello rperks,

Following is a list of Chairs, Co-Chairs, and Deputy Chairs filliing
in the gaps of the Political Graveyard website that I referenced
previously.
http://politicalgraveyard.com/parties/R/index.html#2989.

This addendum was gleaned from a number of periodicals databases and
specific publications, incluing the Congressional Quarterly Weekly.
The Republican National Committee website, http:\\www.rnc.org lists
the current party leadership, but not the historical leaders, so I
searched the archived RNC web sites at www.archive.org, where previous
iterations of the organization's web site are accessible
retrospectively to 1996.

This supplement does have the names of chairs and co-chairs since
1993, and many of the deputy chairs back to pre-1980. Names of
deputies prior to then are harder to get at, in part because of the
lack of available electronic data sources for the early years.

Please let me if this information meets your needs or if I can help
you further.

Best regards,

vitalmed-ga

That's very close ... just need state where the latest additions are
from, and the business or political office held while in the
leadership role.

Thanks,

Hello rperks-ga,

I am sorry that these points are not included.. The articles from
which this information was gleaned did not always indicate this
remaining information, and the literature search was fairly extensive.
It is certainly available to be found in theory, but it would take
quite a bit of sleuthing on each of the remaining persons
individually. The Republican National Committee would be the most
logical source to find the staff record, but its office for some
reason does not seem to have kept it. So, let me ask you if this large
percentage of the list will be satisfactory of if you might like to
consider an alternative such as reposting the question and splitting
it into more than one part?

Hi:

Maybe a call to the GOP would yield professions for a few of the party
leaders. That is mostly what we are missing for the people who aren't
referenced on the second list you gave me. Certainly I wouldn't expect
every profession, but there are quite a few there that we don't have
that information available on.

Hello rperks,

I too would have thought that they would have that information, but
they have confirmed that they do not.

Hello rperks-ga,

I think I found more previous executives officers than you expected
according to your Sept 3 post, and we did get the states they are from
for most of the senior executive officers. Any outstanding information
regarding the remaining professions would require investigating them
individually in newly identified sources.

My suggestion is that you consider posting them in one or more
separate questions. I am prepared to seek to track down one more of
your choice if you wish as a matter of courtesy. I hope this
information that I have provided will prove to be helpful to you.

Best regards,

That would be great, if you could find one or two more professions for
the listed party leaders. Thanks.

Hello rperks-ga,

Following is supplemental information regarding the professions of RNC
leaders. I realize it is not as exhaustive a compilation as you had
originally sought, but I do hope you find it substantive and meeting
your needs. Please let me know either way.

Best regards,

vitalmed-ga
