How do you remove the dead links from the search engine. We have determined that we have about 30% dead links that were built in 2000. This is based on over 800000 pages. I would hope over the years someone would have built a software package to do this or it is already part of the product. |

Web search engines like Google remove dead links when they update their entire index. Is there any reason why you can't just wipe the old index and create a new, fresh index of your 800,000 pages? |
