I am looking for a Christian answer. Most parts of the account and what
some say are contridictions I have figured out except one thing.

In the account of the resurrection of Jesus appearances in the book of
Mark 16:14 (NKJV) says "Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at
the table...". In the book of 1 Corinthians 15:5 it says "and He was
seen by Cephas, then by the twelve". Why does Mark say eleven and 1
Corinthians say twelve? Please be detailed.

pinkfreud-ga's comment is more of what I am looking for.

mvguy-ga said it seems to be the most common, so what I want to know
is are there any other ideas?

Also, how do you award someone in google answers? I can not figure it
out!

jsf78-ga,

Regarding your question about how to "award" someone, this can be done
once your question has been officially answered. So far, you've
received a number of comments, but no one has yet posted an answer. If
you like a comment by a certain Researcher, you can ask the Researcher
to re-post that comment as an answer. This will enable you to assign a
rating, and the Researcher will be able to collect his or her fee.

Some comments are not made by official Google Answers Researchers; in
such a case, neither payment nor rating is possible. It is easy to
tell a Researcher from a non-Researcher: only official Researchers'
usernames are highlighted in blue, and are "clickable." Clicking on
the username of a Researcher will take you to that person's profile,
where you can see the questions he or she has answered in the past.
Answer
There is no answer at this time.

Here is a good explanation:

That explanation seems to be the most common:

If you read "The Davinci Code" you will be amazed at many interesting
facts, even though this is a historical novel.

You will find that the whole Jesus story was made up and then
described by a Council which met about 400 years after Jesus' death.
This then gave the church the power and the symbology needed to
attract and hold their flock.

Good luck on finding the "truth".

Ignore Bud2's Comment. It is an old outdated pagan tale. The most
recent evidence that has been revealed in Josh McDowell’s Book "New
Evidence that Demands a Verdict" shows that fragments of the book of
John among others(thought to be written later) have been carbon dated
to the mid first Century AD. Some of the dating on Codex papyrus of
New Testament carbon date to within a few years of the Crucifixion. I
recommend the book "The Life of Christ in Stereo" to have a fluid
understanding of the Gospel.
