Hello - I am trying to locate an obscure privately printed book(let)
from the 1883. Can you please let me know what library and address
for the library may have the following? I suspect that this has to do
with the abolishion movement/slavery. I don't know what A. T. stands
for.

A. T. Rankin's "Truth Vindicated and Slander Repelled," Ironton, Ohio,
privately printed, 1883.

Thank you!

Is it possible that you have in mind the Rev. John Rankin, a prominent
abolitionist who resided in Ironton, Ohio and died there in 1886? If
so, perhaps the Lawrence County Museum could be of assistance. It is
located in his former home at 506 S. 6th St., Ironton, OH 45638.

The initials A. T. could stand for Alexander Taylor Rankin
(1803-1885):

John, mentioned in the previous comment by buckram-ga, was his
brother:
