I use windows XP and the Gemstar TV program that comes bundled with
the All in Wonder (128mb. Lately I have noticed that when Gemstar is
open, the cursor disappears after about 20 seconds. The cursor will
reappear in the taskbar, and I can see the highlight of the X in the
top right corner where you would close the program. It makes it
difficult to really use this program. I have reinstalled the programs
and drivers, but I fear nothing short of a fresh PC install will fix
this. Point of interest that may or may not be related, when the TV
window comes on for a recording (nothing related to the Gemstar
program) it comes up full screen. Also, instead of remembering the
windows position, it is always in the top right corner when I resize
it. Any suggestions?

Consider going to the ATI site (www.ati.com) and downloading the
latest version of Multimedia Center (7.2). While there, you may also
want to confirm that you have the latest driver for your card. One
more thing (and do this first)... Go to
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and confirm that you have all the
latest fixes from Microsoft. Windows Update will allow you to
download the latest version of DirectX as well. Try to do this, as it
will give you the most current and the best version of the product.
Multimedia Center 7.2 is compatible with DirectX 8.1, but version 9
(latest version) is backward compatible, so you shouldn't break
anything by going forward with the update.

Hope this helps.
