Hi lostarrowspire,

I couldn't find any free published routes for you between Austin and
Dallas. I'm assuming, of course, that you'd just as soon avoid I-35
and stick to low traffic back roads. ;-) Looks like you might have
to figure out your own routes. My best advice would be to use Yahoo
maps ( http://maps.yahoo.com/maps?ed=M7tNO.p_0TqT&csz= ) or Mapquest (
http://www.mapquest.com/ ) , type in your start and destination and
then ask for scenic routes.

Other than that, you might try searching for Central Texas bicycle
clubs or forums, where you could maybe ask around. Also, here are a
few links I found that might be of some use to you.

--TxDOT downloadable county highway maps: http://txdot.lib.utexas.edu/
--"Jack's" published list of bike routes (not including yours
unfortunately): http://home.satx.rr.com/hcbtc/maps/maps.html
--The National Road Information Program: http://www.tripnet.org
--Hill Country Bicycle Touring Club (maps page, but you might be able
to email someone for info about roads):
http://home.earthlink.net/~fgaldos/data/maps.html

Sorry I couldn't find exactly what you were looking for. Maybe another
Researcher will be able to do better. Good luck and have fun riding.
