I am looking for the best health insurance for a couple in their mid
fifties. The couple has some pre existing medical conditions so this
should be taken into account. There is the issue of being stuck with
the same insurance company if you ever have a serious claim -- say for
cancer or heart problems because any new company will exclude those
ailments. So, basically you're stuck forever with the same insurance
company. And, that means, that you shouldn't have a regional-based
insurance company because then if you move, they won't be able to
cover you, and the new one wouldn't accept coverage of any
pre-existing conditions.
