I am scheduled to take a police entrance physical test.  Part of the
test includes climbing a ten-foot chain link fence.  I want to do this
in style and as efficiently as possible. Is there any advice on
technique, pictures and drawings available?
No, being chased by a big mad dog with lots of teeth or shot at is not
an option, though it would be a motivator.

I have not found any diagrams of climbing techniques but as a 20+ year
member of the law enforcement community who has not only done this but
trained others to do it, I can tell you first hand what is expected of
you with regard to this obstacle if you like – drawing from my own
years of experience. If you follow my advice and practice it a few
times, I can instruct you how to get up and over the obstacle on your
first try (and make a fairly good impression while doing it).
