Hi, Would like a tool which would allow me to scan the network and retreive the list of printers connected in order to enable my XP to use them. Identifying the printer brand and model is an inportant part of this so I may downlaod the driver and install it. If there's something out there that automates this a bit further, all the better. :-) Thank you. /Lizardnation |

What sort of printers? Network-attached printers (the printer has a built-in network card) Or just windows 'shared' printers? For 'shared' printers: Windows xp can already list all the available printers on the network. .. Start, settings, printers and faxes. Add printer. Network printer. Browse for a printer. Hope this helps. |

Oh, and I forgot to say, most of the time, when a computer 'shares' a printer, it also shares the drivers, and your computer should be able to automagically find and install them. Meaning: It should just magically work, always has for me. =) |
