I want to recommend a book to several Christian Reading Circles. How
do I find current names-contacts for such Circles. I have already
entered Christian Reading Circles and Christian Book Circles in
Google's search field. Thanks and good luck.

Hi! Would book clubs, instead of reading circles, be acceptable as well?

Clarification of Question by fragiovanni-ga on 31 Aug 2003 03:58 PDT
Hi. I have indeed tried "book clubs" and get a lot of commercial sites
similar to The Book of the Month. But sure, please go ahead with Book
Club since you are far more experiecned than I am, and we'll see what
happens. What I want to do eventually is to offer the book (a super
book, by the way, written by my wife whose works have sold in the
millions, but this last book, her best one I think, just ain't moving)
for review to decision makers at these book clubs or reading circles
or book circles. An example of the one that I have found and who are
going to preview it can be checked out at ChristianBookPreviews.com
Thanks. fragiovanni

Hello fragiovanni-ga,

I’ve found a selection of Christian book/reading clubs that might be
receptive to hearing about your wife’s new book. I found quite a few
from online discussion groups that also referred to the sponsoring
organizations. I also found additional ones that are affiliated with
churches. You might want to explore this avenue further.

In conducting the search I also came across several Christian book
vendors that are somewhat similar to the ChristianBookPreviews.com
site that you listed so I’ve also included these. They might be worth
contacting to help you get greater exposure for the book.

Your wife’s book looks interesting and she is clearly a successful
writer. I wish you well on getting the publicity you seek for her
latest work.

Book Briefs
Book Briefs are designed especially to help pastors, professors,
students and literate laymen to decide what they might like to focus
on in their reading selections. In light of the literally thousands
of books a year being churned out by publishers, it is impossible for
even an avid reader to keep up. Good books are not being read by
those who ought to be reading them. In order to expose a number of
good writers to these people, Book Briefs have been prepared with the
hope of communicating at least some of these helpful thoughts, ideas
and perspectives.

The answers-editors receives "inappropriate" complaints, which doesnt'
at all describe your situation. Sorry. Why not pick up the book at
your library. It is titled All the Way to Heaven published by the
Revell division of Baker Book House. If this doesn't work, we'll try
something else. fragiovanni-ga
