Dear mccook-ga;

Thank you for allowing me an opportunity to answer your interesting
question.

On February 24, 2003, New York City Mayor, Michael Bloomberg appointed
Robert Soros and 20 other prominent citizens to the Cultural Affairs
Advisory Commission, “a cultural advocacy body mandated by the City
Charter that has advised the Mayor, Cultural Affairs Commissioner, and
other City officials on critical cultural issues for over 25 years.”

Robert Soros, who was once Soros Foundation’s CEO, chose to give up
that position in 2001 so he could “focus on private equity and other
investments”.

Suffice it to say that Mr. Soros’, who assumed the role of Soros
Foundation's Deputy Chairman when he stepped down as its CEO two years
ago, is, by occupation, a private investor. Here is a brief bio of
Robert Soros in this official press release from Mayor Bloomberg’s
Office that mentions this and other involvements of Mr. Soros:

“Robert Soros is Deputy Chairman of Soros Fund Management, LLC. Mr.
Soros is a member of the Board of Directors of NorthStar Capital
Investment Corp., Stratum Realty Fund, and Wang Healthcare Information
Systems, Inc. He serves as Chairman of the non-profit performing arts
organization The Kitchen.”
